About Humanizing Work

Humanizing Work was founded on the conviction that software development work is messed up and that it can be fixed. Since software work is done by people, we ought to look at how people work best and shape the work accordingly. If we do that, we observe that people learn and change, that they’re lousy at predicting the future, that they have a remarkable capacity for creativity, that they can work only for limited periods and need rest, and that they flourish in community. Traditional software development approaches make assumptions contrary to many of these observations. It’s little wonder, then, that software teams are so often unhappy and disappointingly unproductive.

But it doesn’t have to be that way. Find out how we can set up people-friendly software delivery in your organization.
